Rios joined UW-Milwaukee in May 2017 after completing her studies at Indian Trail High School & Academy. In 2023, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Advertising/Public Relations, and Media Studies and a Political Science minor.
During college, Rios worked for Digital Milwaukee as a general assignment reporter. There, broadcasted stories like anti-Asian bias in America, the Kyle Rittenhouse case, and UW-Milwaukee Black History Month events.
