Mark Scirto is an American meteorologist who is currently working at KLTV. He serves as the chief meteorologist and can be seen broadcasting weather at 4 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm at the station. In addition, he joined the KLTV news team in January 1987 as the original Daybreak Meteorologist. He later left the station and rejoined again the KLTV team on April 4, 1994, as the chief meteorologist.

He attended the University of St. Thomas in Houston where he graduated with a degree in Meteorology in 1982. He worked at Wilkens Weather Technologies in Houston from 1980 to early 1987 where he forecasted for oil rigs and refineries all over the world. In addition, he also worked on a number of radio stations in the Houston area before joining KLTV.
Later on, he relocated to Lake Charles, Louisiana where he served as a chief meteorologist for three years at KPLC-TV Channel 7. In addition, while he resided in Lake Charles, he completed second in the Associated Press Awards for “Best Weathercast” in 1992, on the following year, during the Louisiana A.P he was awarded First Place for Best Weathercast.
In addition, he rejoined the KLTV news team on April 4, 1994, as a chief meteorologist. He has been nominated for a Dallas Press Club Katie Award which is an honor no other weathercaster/meteorologist in the Tyler/Longview area has ever received. Furthermore, he also held the Seals of Approval from the American Meteorological Society, and the National Weather Association since 1989.
