Before Campbell joined KCTV, she worked as a full-time Sports Director at WIBW TV in Topeka, KS, from January 2020 to June 2022. Previously, she served as a Reporter and Weekend Anchor at the same station from July 2018 to January 2020.

During her college years, Campbell gained experience through internships, including one as a News Intern for “Up to Date” at KCUR 89.3 in Kansas City, Missouri, and another as an Intern for “The Border Patrol” at Sports Radio 810 WHB in Overland Park, KS, both in May 2017 to August 2017. She also worked as a Sideline Utility Assistant at MING ENTERTAINMENT GROUP LLC in Laramie, Wyoming, for one month in December 2016.

She has been on the Academic All-Mountain West team 4 times. Her love for fairness in sports inspired her to write a prize-winning master’s thesis on Title IX in her last year of NCAA eligibility. Using that idea, she made a year-long weekly series at WIBW-TV. The series focused on the women who led the way in sports before her. She named it “IX at 50: The Trailblazers of Women’s Sports in Kansas.”
