Beckwith has always wanted to be a broadcast meteorologist. He used to stand in front of his computer and pretend to give forecasts for hours on end. He toured Mizzou with the hope of joining school in the region. After being in the region for about half an hour, a tornado warning was issued. That warning was the only sign he needed to know he was in the right place. He feels honored to keep mid-Missourians safe and calm when weather is at its worst.
