Having grown up in a farming community, she has always known about the importance of the weather. She was scared of the smallest thunderstorms as a child, to the point of hiding in the basement. Her mother used to turn on the local news station, which would either soothe her or make her more scared. She understood storms as she grew, transforming her fear into intrigue.
That would help me either feel better about the situation or a whole lot worse. As I got older and understood storms more, they started becoming intriguing. After graduating from college, she launched her career at the station she grew up watching. Though she found the first couple of weeks nerve-wracking, she enjoyed working with the anchors and meteorologists I grew up watching. She worked there for 2 years before moving to Bismarck.
