Dea realized she wanted to work in sports when she was young. She grew up loving to write and joined her high school newspaper. During her senior year, she was promoted to the newspaper’s sports editor. Also, she was chosen as the first female sports anchor for her high schoolβs weekly TV show.
Born and raised in San Diego, Micaela is a big fan of her West Coast teams, but takes pride in her Midwest roots. You can catch her cheering on her Tigers, as well as the Chargers, Padres and Clippers in her spare time.
