Ehrenberg serves CBS12 News as a Meteorologist and broadcasts stories related to the weather. Additionally, he anchors the weekend editions at 6, 6:30, and 11 PM. He covers the 3 PM Monday-Friday and serves as the Chief Meteorologist at our Gainesville Affiliate. In the year 2007, Ehrenberg earned his Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal, which the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Seal of Approval upgraded.
He began his career in broadcasting in 1989 at a weather consulting firm, known as ION Weather based in New Jersey. In 1994 he earned a spot at the National Weather Service based in Miami. Ehrenberg brought to light that he enjoys appearing at schools to teach kids about careers in broadcasting and meteorology. in addition, he enjoys conducting Hurricane Preparedness Seminars.
His knowledge of tropical meteorology and hurricanes comes from specialists at the National Hurricane Center co-located with the National Weather Service. He relocated to West Palm Beach and started his career in television at WPBF Channel 25 in 1996. Ehrenberg graduated from Rutgers University with a Master of Science Degree in Meteorology. He enjoys reading, playing tennis, water skiing, spending time at the beach, and sometimes finance.
