Sacco joined Simpson College in 2017 after completing his studies at Millard North High School. In 2021, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a double minor in Multimedia Journalism and Sports Administration.
While in college, he worked as the station manager at KSTM-FM and a staff writer for The Simpsonian. He was involved with the Alpha Lambda Delta Scholastic Honors Society, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and Simpson Baseball. Also, he served as an intern at the sports departments at WOI-TV and WHO 13 in Des Moines, Iowa.
