Crawford also earned the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society (CBM). His most memorable experience was when he was enclosing the tropical weather events in New Orleans. While in New Orleans, he enclosed Hurricane Isaac in 2012 as well as Tropical Storm Lee which took part in 2011. These were one of those events that he will never forget. During his leisure time, he loves watching fantasy sports, playing video games, playing Texas Hold’em Poker, and playing the guitar.

Crawford was shot 11 times with a semi-automatic handgun in the stomach and shoulder and a bullet grazed his head. He was admitted to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple where he underwent surgery.
