Pete works as a Meteorologist at CBS46. He moved to Georgia after working for three years as the evening meteorologist at WMAR in Baltimore, Maryland, known for its accurate weather reporting. Before that, he spent three years in Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to Memphis, he lived in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he was working towards a doctorate at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (NCA&T) State University. He also worked as a teacher’s assistant, helping with physics and meteorology classes.
Originally from Lake Arthur, Louisiana, just outside Lafayette, Pete knows all about severe weather. His interest in meteorology started when he was 8 years old, during Hurricane Opal, which made his family evacuate. Even though he is far from home, Pete is excited to join the community and connect with locals. He is sure he will find common ground with Georgians and bond over their shared love of football and crabs, something he knows well from both Louisiana and Maryland.
