The amazing meteorologist, Heggen, gained a passion for weather from a young age and always wanted to become a weatherman. In 2000, Paul got his first on-air job at KBMT-TV. Six months later, he left the station to join KBJR-TV as a meteorologist where he worked for slightly over four years.

Paul took a new job at Newport-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma in December 2005. He left the station in 2009 to join WSMV-TV in Nashville, Tennessee as the morning meteorologist. Heggen left the station in November 2017. He worked at the station from November 2017 to February 2020. Currently, Heggen is working as the Chief Meteorologist at KPIX-TV in San Francisco Bay Area.

Moreover, he joined the weather team in March 2020. Throughout his career, Paul has earned a number of awards including six Emmy Awards and “Best Weathercast” and “Best Weather Anchor” awards from the Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists.
