In the year 2011, Bagwell decided to divorce Dr. Brown and accused him of throwing a humanitarian award and being abusive toward her. Similar incidents happened with Dr. Brown’s previous partner too. In the year 2002, he was found guilty of physically hurting his third wife when she was seven months pregnant, and as a result, the Texas Medical Board put him on probation. On October 29, 2013, Bagwell’s ex-Husband Dr. Michael Brown was discovered unconscious at his home in Miami Beach. Reports said he was found with a suicide note. This happened just one day before he was supposed to begin serving his federal prison sentence for choking an airline attendant.
His lawyers said he had a cardiac arrest and was rushed to Mount Sinai Medical Center & Miami Heart Institute. On November 7, he was declared brain-dead. His life support was taken off the next day, and he passed away, as confirmed by his attorney.

She then requested half a million dollars from the Texas court as compensation for having to leave Dr. Brown’s house. Unfortunately, her appeal was rejected by the federal court.
