Reeve serves at KSTP 5 Eyewitness News as a General Assignment Reporter, appearing on “Nightcast.” Before joining KSTP-TV, he spent a significant portion of his career at WJLA-TV in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. There he spent 16 years and 2 months (from February 2003 to March 2019). He briefly transitioned into the field of education as an Adjunct Professor for Television Field Reporting at American University from September 2009 to December 2009.
Reeve also contributed his expertise to WTHR-TV for 5 years and 5 months, where he worked as an Investigative Reporter from November 2000 to December 2002. Before that, he was a General Assignment Reporter from August 1997 to November 2000. His career journey has taken him to WTNH-TV, where he served as a General Assignment Reporter from June 1994 to August 1997.
Prior to this, Reeve gained valuable experience at WIVB-TV as a General Assignment Reporter, Anchor, and Line Producer from May 1987 to June 1994. He started his career at KARK-TV, where he worked as a General Assignment Reporter and Statehouse Reporter from December 1984 to May 1987. Reeve’s early career also included time at WSAV-TV, where he worked as a General Assignment Reporter and Photographer from December 1980 to December 1984.
Reeve shares that the hardest stories he ever worked on were the aftermath of the September 11 attacks in New York City. He went from Indianapolis to New York and covered there for 3 days. Reeve says that he remembers very well talking to Caroline Kennedy the most during a campaign event. He feels lucky that he has been in TV, radio, and web journalism throughout his whole career.
Reeve got many awards for his remarkable work, like a National Edward R Murrow Award and lots of Emmy Awards. During his leisure time, he likes to hike in the mountains and wilderness, listen to good music, work out on his body fitness, take photographs, or explore coffee shops in the Twin Cities area.
