Rob McCartney Surgery | Illness
In January 2020, McCartney made an announcement on KETV that he was to undergo knee surgery, getting a new knee after years of pain. He said that his wife and doctor finally convinced him to have a total right knee replacement. McCartney even shared a picture showing his leg wrapped in ice after therapy, joking about giving his razor a rest. He also stated that his doctor told him that all that was a result of genetics, osteoarthritis, and trauma. His issues were from arthritis and aggressive basketball playing. However, he underwent the surgery and spent about half a year at home for recovery, and he eventually went back to his newscast at KETV.
