Her interactions with these individuals prompted her and Linda Rogers, her friend and foster parent recruiter, to establish Teen & Kid Closet. Teen & Kid Closet is a specialty shop that gives children and youth in foster care, poverty, or homelessness in Eastern WA and North ID the opportunity to shop for free.
Nance has been in Spokane since 1996, a month before an ice storm impacted the region. She and her husband felt initiated to the area after the event and now regards the Inland Northwest home.
