Duncan serves at Fox 29 as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. Previously, he was working for WOIO-WUAB in Cleveland, Ohio, as a sports anchor and news reporter. He started his career in broadcasting in the year 1978, when he served as a news announcer, as well as a volunteer disc jockey at the Baltimore Veterans Hospital. From there, Duncan went to WJZ-TV in Baltimore, Maryland, where he honed his on-air skills and got his big TV “break” as a weekend sports anchor, as well as a sports reporter. 

Duncan’s work as a sportscaster has taken him across the United States, with stops in Durham, North Carolina; New Haven, Connecticut; Phoenix, Arizona; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. He has worked for WOIO-TV, a CBS-affiliated station in Shaker Heights, Ohio, as a Sports Director. While there, he got 3 Emmy nominations and hosted a morning radio talk show at WKNR-AM.

In 2001, Duncan began his own production company, “Slam Dunc Productions.” There, he was writing and producing multiple documentaries, such as the award-winning “The Other Color of Winning,” about the historic 1964 Cleveland Browns championship team. He started hosting “The Ronnie Duncan Morning Show” for Radio One on WERE-AM in Cleveland, Ohio, in the year 2005. Duncan went to Huntsville, Alabama, in the year 2012, to work for WAAY-TV. While at  WAAY, Duncan won the Associated Press “Best Sports Coverage” award, as well as the Broadcasters Association’s “Best Sports Anchor” award. 

In the year 2014, Duncan began working for WNEM-TV in Flint and Saginaw, Michigan, where he dealt with news, this time not sports. There he led the WNEM’s coverage of the infamous Flint Water Crisis and was responsible for securing an exclusive interview with Governor Rick Snyder, from his apartment. The interview and many other breaking news stories that Duncan covered, won WNEM-TV the Associated Press award for Outstanding Coverage.

When not working, he likes serving in the community and volunteering for the NAACP, the Veterans Administration, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
