Samantha Cavalli Education
Cavalli joined Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications in 2016 after compelting her studies at Mater Dei Prep High School. In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Sport Studies.
During her time in college, she was involved with the Society of Professional Journalism, Ithaca College Club Softball, and IC Women in Communications. She also worked for The Ithacan, the award-winning student newspaper.
While at The Ithacan, Cavalli rose to assistant sports editor and co-hosted the sports podcast How IC Sports. In 2018, the New York Press Association named her and her editor Best Sports Coverage for a college newspaper.
Cavalli broadcast the ECAC Division I men’s hockey championship in Lake Placid and finished internships with Fox Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker and the New Jersey Jackals.

Cavalli’s breaking news broadcast of the Elijah Vue case won her an Eric Sevareid Award of Merit from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association. She also received several Wisconsin Broadcasters Awards. Her Borgwardt case coverage earned a feature on nationally on ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir and Good Morning America.
Before moving to Green Bay, Cavalli spent two years at WTAP in Parkersburg, West Virginia. While in West Virginia, she anchored the weekend 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts and reported during the week. In May 2021, she was promoted to weeknight anchor for the 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
