Scurlock works as a weekday anchor and reporter for WREG-TV. She anchors News Channel 3 at 5,6 and 10 p.m. throughout the week. Additionally, she has traveled with the Tennessee Air National Guard to Dakar, Senegal to report on a humanitarian mission. The plane piloted by an all-African American crew took computers, clothes, school supplies, and other necessities to children who lived in the country. She brought to light that the one thing she loves more than her job is helping the needy.

Scurlock also assisted a man in bringing his sick wife and children from Senegal to Memphis so she could receive medical treatment. In addition to that, she is the only reporter in Memphis who covered the case of the West Memphis 3 from the time of their arrests and convictions in 1994 until their release 18 years later. She was honored with a Regional Emmy for her work on WREG’s Memphis on a Mission project. Additionally, she profiled the plight of Memphians in their efforts to overcome poverty and crime in their neighborhoods.
