After graduating from college, McCarron worked as an intern in Spokane for 5 weeks before reporting for KAPP in the Yakima Valley. He launched his career on his birthday in 2004 as a weekend co-anchor. He also helped debut the station’s dual market weekend newscasts in January 2006.
