This was after her chemistry teacher who was also an atmospheric scientist incorporated interesting tidbits into lectures. While still in college, she used to intern with NBC LA and it was there that she gained all the extra skills and knowledge of meteorology.

Sharifi landed her first on-air job in San Angelo, Texas, where she served as the co-anchor as well as the morning meteorologist. Later on, she left the station in Texas and joined a station in Palm Springs, California where she enclosed weather events like earthquakes, floodings, wildfires, and damaging winds. Furthermore, she also spent some time serving as a general assignment reporter and is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) with the American Meteorological Society (AMS).

Sharifi states that her most memorable weather experience was when she drove to the station in the middle of the night after at least six tornadoes were tracked through parts of West Central Texas. This occurred on May 18, 2019, and all the streets were already flooding and there was no electric power in the area. Fortunately, there was no death reported and the people in that area managed to move on after the incident.

During her leisure time, she enjoys outdoor activities, including going to the beach. She also loves snowboarding, catching sunsets, exploring new places as well as hiking. Furthermore, she enjoys traveling and touring different countries and destinations. She loves discovering new cultures, meeting new people, and spending time with her family and friends.
