As a weekend weathercaster and weekday general assignment reporter, Tamara began her career in Toledo, Ohio. Tamara covered heavy snowfall occurrences and chased summer thunderstorms, and river floods while in Toledo. Tamara tracked just about every type of weather condition while at KION. In March 2011, she also reported on mudslides, wildfires, earthquakes, and the tsunami that swept through Santa Cruz’s coastline.
Tamara loves running in her spare time. She has completed the Big Sur International Marathon twice and every December she looks forward to running the California International Marathon. Tamara also loves hiking, mountain running, snowboarding, and biking. Finally, she would also like to get her pilot’s certificate.
