When still working for WTVH-TV, she served as Morning Drive News Anchor, Breaking News reporter, Broadcast TV, Motivational Speak, and Consumer Advocate for WAQX-FM in Syracuse, N.Y. from 1992 to 1995. Previously, Davidson worked for WSYR Radio as a Radio News Anchor and Reporter from 1985 to 1986. She began her career as a Radio News Anchor and Reporter at WHAM-AM from 1983 to 1985.

Davidson felt a lump in her breast in late 2014 and did not take it seriously until 2nd January 2015. She called her doctor and requested a mammogram prescription. The physician felt two lumps but Davidson and the mammogram test only showed one lump. The doctor did a biopsy and an MRI that confirmed Davidson had breast cancer. The Doctor confirmed that only a small area was affected and can be cured through surgery and radiation. Tracy underwent a series of treatments and is now a breast cancer survivor.
