Additionally, he serves as a contributor for numerous station specials, such as the 6 ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Flower Show preview special, and the Auto Show preview special.
Besides his role at WPVI, Joseph has worked as a fill-in on ABC’s Good Morning America many times. Moreover, he received a nomination Philadelphia’s Best Meteorologist by Philadelphia Magazine in 2009. Also, he received the 40 under 40 award from the Philadelphia Business Journal for professional excellence and community involvement in 2011.
Joseph first experienced working on-air in 1998 when he was in college. At the time, he worked as a forecaster and weather anchor of LSC-TV. He began his career in Clarksburg, West Virginia, where worked as the chief meteorologist at WBOY-TV.
Joseph moved to Charleston-Huntington, West Virginia, where he served WSAZ-TV. While there, he gained the prestigious AMS Seal of Approval for Television and various awards for meteorological brilliance. He served the station for four years before joining WPVI in 2005.
Joseph was obsessed with every type of weather since he was young. He used to watch the weather channel instead of cartoons like other children his age. Between 4th and 8th grade, he woke up early so that he could participate in the “Weather Club,” formed by a group of students and a 6th-grade teacher who loved weather.
Joseph is devoted to making a change in the community and is actively involved with Hospice and the American Cancer Society. He partook in his initial triathlon in Richwood, West Virginia, in 2001. Since then, he has finished a total of 13 triathlons. In 2013, he completed 7 triathlons, the final being a 70.3 half ironman in Bear, Delaware. This was a goal of his for over 12 years.

After Joseph invited a close relative who was unvaccinated to his house, they got infected with COVID-19. He had told the relative to visit them under the condition that they got tested. Upon testing, it came back negative. 48 hours later, the relative fell ill and ultimately tested positive for COVID-19.
Two days later, his son, Jacob, fell ill and had a fever and chills, and his daughter, Hannah, started having a cough. Soon after, they both tested positive for COVID-19. In addition, the virus infected the babysitter who looked after them. Fortunately, they are ok and feeling better. Following the incident, he urged people to get vaccinated to protect the children and not be around children who are 12, as they are extremely vulnerable.
