Kang has worked as a Reporter at WHBF-TV in Rock Island, IL, for two years and one month. Her journalism journey began with internships, including positions as a Reporter Intern at WLFI News 18 in West Lafayette, Indiana, for five months in the year 2014, a Reporter Intern at WMBB News Station 13 for three months in the year 2012, and a Marketing & Advertising Intern at Quay Grand Suites for three months in 2012.
Kang also gained experience as a Hospitality Intern at Lafayette Country Club for ten months from April 2013 to January 2014. The most unforgettable moment in her career was when she had the chance to accompany a group of veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.
