Prior to joining KEYC-TV, Steinhagen worked for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where her role was behind the scenes. She began her journalism career at an NBC affiliate in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Steinhagen loves meeting new people, which she considers the best part of her job. Her dream story is finding a cure for cancer. As a child, she aspired to be a news anchor. Stacy’s interest in the news began with her love for live TV. She reminisces about pretending to host a show as a kid and becoming captivated by journalism during her first semester of college.
Steinhagen is deeply passionate about her job and enjoys serving the viewers of southern Minnesota. She finds great fulfillment in giving back to her community through volunteer work. Steinhagen dedicates her time to various organizations, including the Mankato Area Symphony Orchestra and S.S. Boutique. She has served as the Sponsorship Chair for Relay For Life with the American Cancer Society in Blue Earth County since January 2011. There she also serves on the State Leadership Board and the South Central Leadership Team
Additionally, she has volunteered in classrooms at Mankato Area Public Schools, starting in January 2014. Steinhagen has been a founding member of the ACS Leadership Board of South Central MN since June 2015 and has been a member of the ACS State Leadership Board since January 2016.
