Before joining WHDH, he worked as an anchor and reporter for WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida, a sister station to 7 News.
He relocated to Boston in the year 2007. Williams got the privilege of being voted by Boston’s “A-list” as the “best evening anchor” and as the “best morning anchor” by the Boston Herald. He began his TV career at KRQE-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico as a news reporter. During his time working for KRQE-TV, he was recognized and awarded for his work in featuring hard news, an hour-long documentary examining the state’s death penalty. It was aired statewide on public television (PBS).
He loves indulging in charitable organizations including Project Bread, the National MS Society, and Best Buddies International. He is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University a Cum Laude. During his leisure time, he enjoys renovating furniture, “collecting” new friends, hanging out with his yellow lab Shawmut, gardening, and hot air balloons.
