Wurster was raised in northern Wisconsin where the weather was always a focus — from looking for dry stretches to get hay off the fields to predicting the exact wind direction for hunting and fishing. This made him pursue a degree in Meteorology as he had gained an interest in weather from his time in North Wisconsin.
When coming to his education, he is a graduate of St. Cloud State University. Later on, he was able to secure a job as a weather forecaster in Minneapolis and in Lowa, Milwaukee before he came to Boston. In spite of all the changes in his life, he has had one constant that being his dog Vinny who he rescued while he was in college and looks forward to traveling the beautiful New England with. During his leisure time, he enjoys paddleboarding some lakes and hiking on a mountain.
