Romero serves at KDFW FOX 4 in Dallas/Fort Worth, North Texas as a Meteorologist. Before joining the station, Romero had worked at the CBS affiliate KYTX in Tyler, Texas, since April of 2015. Also at the same time, he served at Texas Cable News in Dallas after interning as an On-Air Meteorologist for one year at WFAA/Channel 8.

Romero got a hook with the weather after the devastating Hurricane Andrew destroyed his hometown of Miami, in the year 1992. He says that he walked outside and saw what the hurricane did to his city of Miami, and became eager to know the science behind it, how it happens, and have an understanding of what took place. Romero says that he chose to go the military route. He researched which branch of the service would provide the best college opportunities for him and found that the United States Air Force has a “forecaster” job. Romero, therefore, served in the United States Air Force as a Weather Forecaster/Observer for 7 years and 9 months. He says that his time in the service was among the best experiences in his life.

Other than being a journalist, Romero has worked as a Dental Assistant at Next Century Dental for 9 months. Romero has also worked as a Franchisee supervisor at Albe Enterprise for one and a half years. Additionally, he has worked as a Police Recruit in the City of Watauga for a few months.
