He would stand in the mirror in their dining room at home in San Antonio and imitate journalists Roger Mudd, Bernard Shaw, Walter Cronkite, and Ed Bradley. His grandma was there encouraging him to do anything he is passionate about in life. Rabb also loved reading and writing. 

Besides working as a journalist, Rab is also a motivator for high school students. He speaks to them a lot and tells them that he makes a movie each day. He says that working as a producer, director, and writer is a huge responsibility is this is not fiction, but rather about people and their lives. Rabb is fluent in Spanish, having studied it for half a decade. He has a motto that keeps motivating him and keeps him moving, “It’s not what we do for ourselves but what we do for someone else on a daily basis that makes a difference.”

He adds that he tries to be compassionate  and sensitive in the stories he tells asking himself, “What would Jesus do?” He has been a pastor there for more than one and a half decades.
