As a general assignment reporter and a breaking news anchor, Allen gave real-time Breaking News updates for the 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm, 9 pm, and 11 pm newscasts.
While at CBS46, Delvin has won the RTDNAC Award two times, the South Carolina Broadcasters Association Award two times, and Emmy-nominee three times. Before joining CBS46, Allen worked for WYFF in Greenville, South Carolina from July 2019 to July 2021. While there, he served as the sole reporter who got the privilege of interviewing the late Chadwick Boseman’s parents about his battle with colon cancer and his death thereafter. Allen also reported on Joe Biden’s campaign trail through the Upstate and James “Radio” Kennedy death. Additionally, Delvin reported on how George Floyd’s death impacted the AME Church and what happened after the fatal shooting at Townville Elementary School in 2016. Throughout his career, his most memorable coverage was EF3 Tornado which hit the small town of Seneca, SC.
Initially, Delvin worked at CNN during the Presidential Campaign in 2016, and in February 2016 he helped the Democratic and Republican town halls while at UofSC in Columbia, South Carolina.
