Before going to WHBF, she worked for WABG Delta News in Greenville, North Carolina as a Bureau Television News Reporter. She spent 2 years there. There she wrote scripts for broadcasts, conducted interviews, shot footage for news stories, and effectively edit packages using software, Adobe Pro. When it comes to internships, Simms has interned at WVUE Fox 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana for 4 months. As an intern, she field reported with photographers and served as a shadower for reporters. Also, she helped in producing shows and conducted interviews. Additionally, she was responsible for inputting writing into the ENPS system. When she is not working, she likes to; spend time with her family and friends, travel, take photographs, shop, or go to church.
