Her journalism career began in North Platte, Nebraska where she served as an anchor and reporter. While serving as a journalist, she has covered the historic Senate race of Mitch McConnell vs. Alison Grimes, national events, tornados in Nebraska, numerous Kentucky Derby, and hurricanes in Florida.

Furthermore, she has raised awareness of homeless veterans in central Kentucky by reporting widely on their plight. Prior to reporting on a Lexington firefighter who was diagnosed with cancer and died after a long struggle for his life and she stated that she is happy to lend a hand in pushing a firefighter cancer bill through the Kentucky state legislature.

She attended Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan where she graduated proudly. Furthermore,  during her leisure time, she enjoys; participating actively in her church, singing, playing the piano, and volunteering at a local nursing home.
