Additionally, she also took part in the network’s team that received an Emmy for the 2012 High Park Fire coverage where she anchored live in the field. The team also was honored with the Annual Mark Twain Award by the Associated Press TV and Radio Association for their 2013 Best Morning Show Broadcast.
Cabrera also tenured at KHQ-TV which is an NBC affiliate and KAYU-TV a FOX affiliate in Spokane, Washington serving both as an anchor and reporter from January 2005 to July 2009. She began her career at both KCNC-TV and KMGH-TV in Denver where she worked as an intern.
