From WOOD TV-8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Andrea came to WTHR, where she anchored the 6 and 11-weekend evening newscasts. Andrea worked as a reporter, assistant producer, and assignment editor for WXIN in Indianapolis prior to her tenure at WOOD. Andrea started her broadcasting career at Koppel Communications in Washington DC as a Production Intern. While at Koppel, Andrea investigated subjects and helped producers in the making of The Koppel Report” for Capital Cities/ABC. In 1995, Andrea shifted gears and worked for the National Football League in New York as a Management Council Law Clerk.

Andrea was a reporter/anchor for WGMC TV’s weekday evening newscast in Worchester, Massachusetts, between 1992 and 1993. She received her B.A. in 1991, Graduating summa cum laude from Howard University, in Communications/Journalism. In 1996, Andrea received her Ph.D. in Jurisprudence from Indiana University.
