Additionally, he featured stories of local restaurants struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Sabella initiated his journalism career at WILX FOX based in Lansing.
Later on, he was tenured at WJRT ABC based in Flint, MI, for about two years. While there, he broadly covered the lead water crisis in the city. This coverage paved the way for the station to be awarded an Emmy and regional Edward R. Murrow award. Additionally, in 2015 he was honored as the Associated Press of Michigan’s Rising Star in television news. He was also awarded in 2018, and 2022 as Best Multimedia Journalist, by Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters. In the year 2021, Sabella was honored as Best Local TV News Reporter in Coastal Virginia Magazine. He likes to spend his leisure with his wife and pet sunbasking at the local beach life and exploring restaurants. He is passionate about music and also considers himself a musical artist.
