Essa serves at WTVR as a Reporter for the “A-List” Segment, airing from Wednesday to Friday at 7 PM on CBS 6 News. The program also airs every Saturday morning from 6 AM to 8 AM on CBS 6 News. In addition to her role, she is responsible for doing daily blogs for WTVR.com/Alist. In September 2009, Essa briefly worked as a Reporter at WTVR-TV in Richmond, Virginia, before transitioning to her current role with the station. Prior to joining WTVR, Essa served as a Radio Personality at Radio One’s KISS fm from July 2007 to September 2014. From January 2008 to March 2013, Essa hosted “Comcast Local Edition” at Comcast Cable.
Essa’s career also includes a stint as a Radio Personality and Public Service Director at WGGM-WZEZ AM Radio for three months in 2008. Outside of her media roles, Essa served as a Board Member for the Latin Ballet of Virginia from April 2005 to December 2012, contributing to the organization’s growth and community outreach efforts.
