In September 2014, he joined the network and reported on both ABC News broadcasts and streaming channels. In this position, Fleischer offers political analysis through daytime and primetime programming on the FOX News Channel (FNC) and FOX Business Network (FBN).

Prior to joining the FNC, Fleischer served as former President George W. Bush’s White House press secretary. During his time as press secretary, during the presidential recount on September 11, two wars and an anthrax threat, Fleischer was the primary spokesman. During the 2000 election primary season, Fleischer was the national spokeswoman for Elizabeth Dole’s presidential campaign before joining Bush’s presidential campaign. He attended Middlebury College in Vermont. Fleischer is also the author of the New York Times bestseller, “Taking Heat: The President, the Press and My Years in the White House.”

A memoir, Taking Heat: The President, the Press and My Years in the White House, was published in 2005 by Fleischer. “his book does not provide any new insights into the workings of the current White House, Michiko Kakutani wrote in The New York Times.
