Prior to joining the network, Fisher worked as ABC News/freelance NewsOne’s correspondent and spent four years covering in Washington for WUSA-TV (CBS). She pioneered Field Mouse Films, which specializes in producing documentary films, including Uber and Starwood Hotels and Resorts, for both news sources and corporate customers.
In 2009, after working at KATV (ABC) in Little Rock, Arkansas, and KJCT (ABC) in Grand Junction, Colorado, she moved to Washington. During the 2008 presidential elections, Fisher also worked as a political reporter where she reported on former Governor Mike Huckabee and then-Senator Hilary Clinton’s 2008 presidential runs and then-Senator Barack Obama’s inaugurations.
Fisher is the daughter of Dr. Anna Lee Fisher and Dr. Bill Fisher, two NASA astronauts. For her bi-weekly segments on heroes in the greater Washington community, Kristin received an Emmy Award. When coming to her education, she earned a Boston University degree in Communication.
