From there, she relocated to North Carolina where she taught secondary math and coached basketball and track. In addition, in her career as an anchor and storyteller, she has received a number of industry honors. Most notably, she is a three-time recipient of the prestigious Gracie Award, which recognizes exemplary programming created by, for, and about women in all facets of media and entertainment.
