Barbara Morse (born Barbara Morse Silva) is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WJAR – NBC 10 in Providence, Rhode Island as a noon news anchor and health reporter. Prior to joining the station in June 1995, she worked for WISH-TV.

Prior to that, she served at WLVI-TV 56 Boston in Massachusetts as a Health and News Anchor and Reporter for half a decade (1989 – 1994). Morse has also worked for WLNE-TV in Providence, Rhode Island as a general assignment reporter. Additionally, she has worked as a news reporter for KOLD-TV in Tucson, Arizona, and WAND in Decatur, Illinois.
Over the years of her career, she has received several honors. She was a proud Emmy nominee in the years 2014, 2008, 2001, 1999, and 1993. In the year 2008, she received the Associated Press Award for coverage of shaken baby syndrome. Then, in the year 2019, Morse received a special honor called the Silver Circle from NAAS (the National Academy of Arts & Sciences) in New England. They gave her this award for her outstanding work in TV for over 2 and a half decades and her commitment to helping and mentoring others.
Morse is passionate about helping others, and she has collected lots of awards from different groups over the years as a volunteer. Barbara Morse Volunteer Work
Morse is quite involved in the community, using a lot of her free time to help out at nonprofit groups in our neighborhood. She has been serving as the immediate past President and event coordinator at SNEABJ (Society for Nonprofit Event and Activity-Based Job Seekers) since October 2015. In her role as President, she played a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing the organization’s annual scholarship fundraiser. Additionally, Barbara took the initiative to organize annual student and race forums, contributing to the growth and engagement of the SNEABJ community.
