Brandon is originally from the Chicago Suburbs, growing up in Lombard, IL. In the 6th grade, he would give the forecast to his science teacher every day, and she nicknamed him “The Weatherman,” there it was history. He is a die-hard winter weather enthusiast who adores snow, which is why he aspired to be a meteorologist. While he prefers cold weather, he enjoys all types of weather.

Brandon has worked at two more stations in the upper Midwest since graduating. He began his career with FOX 21 News in Duluth, Minnesota, where he worked for ten months until transferred to KDLT News in Sioux Falls in 2013. Brandon was the Chief Meteorologist in Sioux Falls. He was nominated for three Emmys and received an Eric Sevareid award for “Best Weathercast” while at KDLT.

Brandon can usually be found in the gym or at a sporting event when he is not at work. Fitness is very important to him as a former athlete, and he tries to work out at least five days a week. Brandon is a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks, as well as NASCAR. Spinner enjoys hunting and being outside, and visits his cottage in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan many times a year.
