He also holds the position of play-by-play voice for the New York Islanders’ telecasts on MSG+, as well as for NBC Sports’ coverage of the Premier Lacrosse League. Previously, Brendan worked with the Utica Comets in the AHL, where his responsibilities included serving as a play-by-play commentator, pre-game, intermission, and post-game host. He had been with the network since 2013.
Brendan was also working for the team AHL All-Star Classic in 2015 and was honored with the league’s James H. Ellery Award following the season for outstanding media coverage. Since 2012, Brendan has made appearances on Fox Sports Net and Fox Sports 1, where he covers college football and basketball. He also filled in as a radio play-by-play announcer for the St. Louis Blues on KMOX in the NHL from 2009 to 2012.
His career in professional hockey began with the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers in West Virginia, where he was named the ECHL Broadcaster of the Year for the 2007-2008 season. From 2008 to 2013, Brendan handled play-by-play duties for the Peoria (IL) Rivermen, the St. Louis Blues-affiliated team in the AHL, and also served as the Director of Communications for the team.
