There he went on the front lines to find out the reason why the crime was drawn to lower-income motels and how a community was ready to fight back in a 10-part series. Dorman has also done field reports, where he covered everything from the historic flooding of 2019 to the steps of the Oklahoma State Capitol during the historic teacher walkout.
Before going to News on 6, he spent 7 years at ABC 57 – WBND in South Bend, Indiana, where he served as a primary anchor. He has also worked at KODE-TV in Joplin, Missouri; WIBW-TV in Topeka, Kansas; WBKB-TV in Alpena; Michigan; as a News Anchor/Reporter. During his career, he covered the deaths of a doctor over the opioid crisis and Notre Dame’s Theodore Hesburgh. He has also conducted exclusive jailhouse interviews with one of the Elkhart 4 suspects. Also, an interview with a grandma who was accused of turning a blind eye to the abuse of her grandson, and led to his death.
