Before joining WJTV, he worked as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter at WFLA-TV in Tampa, Florida for two years and eight months (from June 2000 to January 2003). Prior to this, he served as a Weekend Morning and Midday Anchor at WOIO/WUAB in Cleveland, Ohio for two years and one month (from September 1997 to September 1999).
Additionally, for three years and two months (from August 1994 to September 1997), he worked as a Weekend Morning Anchor and Reporter at KCNC-TV in Denver, Colorado. His broadcasting career began at WCIV-TV in Charleston, South Carolina, where he worked as a Weekend Anchor, Reporter, and Photographer from September 1987 to August 1994, accumulating seven years of experience in this role.
Throughout his journalism career, Brown has reported on many important stories, such as crime, natural disasters, politics, and water problems. In the year 2019, he served as a moderator for 4 debates that covered the entire state. He also serves as a host of “Mississippi Insight”, a weekly show about politics. Brown has reported on lots of urgent news events from different parts of the country. In the year 2000 Brown reported on the big Presidential election for WFLA-TV.
