He initiated his journalism career as a weekend sports anchor for KNOE-TV based in Monroe, Louisiana. While there, he covered Grambling, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, LSU, and the Saints. He worked full-time for KSEL and KENW as their play-by-play broadcaster and lead sports anchor while studying Broadcast Journalism. Additionally, he hosted “Game On,” Portales’ first sports talk radio show as the Portales Rams’ voice.
