He has broadcasted hours of live coverage of quite a number of breaking news events, such as the Jan 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol Building and the San Jose VTA Railyard Mass Shooting. Additionally, he provided live talkbacks during the police shooting death of Terence Crutcher, for CNN. In addition, during Operation Enduring Freedom, McCall was a certified meteorologist for the U.S. Navy. His main tenure was assisting pilots plan missions before the war. McCall attended Lamar University. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communications. While there, he was a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
