Before that, Lans worked for the ABC affiliate, KTBS-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana as an evening news anchor and investigative news reporter. Lans worked for KYW-TV CBS Philadelphia as a general assignment reporter before going to KTBS. She has also worked as a general assignment reporter at WBZ-TV CBS Boston.
Lans has conducted various interviews including with President Joe Biden. She has also reported on; the arrest and murder trial of Aaron Hernandez (New England Patriot); the imprisonment and release of Meek Mill (an American Rapper) which prompted criminal justice reform in Pennsylvania and across the U.S.; the Boston Marathon bombings; Bill Cosby’s sexual assault trial; and the 1st super bowl win of Philadelphia Eagles;
Lans was selected to travel to the European Union and the NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, by the Radio Television Digital News Association. She traveled there as a fellow of the RIAS German/American Exchange Program. Throughout her career, she has won an Edward R. Murrow Award.
