May is a proud 1993 alumnus of Arizona State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Broadcast Journalism. He had his high school studies at Catholic High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. In regard to his profession, May serves at KATV ABC 7 News as an evening news anchor, appearing on the 5 PM, 6 PM, and 10 PM newscasts. He spent almost nine years at KYW-TV – CBS3 in Philadelphia from October 2007 to July 2016, prior to joining KATV.
Before that, he was a news anchor at WBZ-TV in Boston for a year, from August 2006 to August 2007. From December 1998 to June 2006, he anchored the news at WHDH-TV, also in Boston. His career as an evening news anchor and general assignment reporter began at KATV-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he worked from December 1993 to December 1998.
During his first stint at KATV, he reported on many important events and stories across Arkansas. He covered tomato festivals and tornado outbreaks, as well as the NCAA basketball championship of Razorbacks in the year 1994 and the investigation of Whitewater. Over the years of his career, May has been able to get chances to interview American presidents, politicians at all levels, and world leaders. He has also provided coverage from 7 national political conventions.
