Hutson’s passion for journalism started in high school when she reported on social issues for her broadcasting class. She holds an Ohio Valley Emmy Award which she received in the year 2018 for Best News Special “Call to Duty: Hurricane Florence”. This story featured the Kentucky National Guardswomen and Guardsmen who worked in North Carolina after the striking of Hurricane Florence.
