Her big break came in 1966 when she guest starred on Run for Your Life and performed a bilingual song called “Meditation”. This ensured that the details surrounding the killing and the resolution of the case remained private and confidential.

Since her conviction for negligent homicide in connection with the shooting death of her boyfriend, former Olympic skier Spider Sabich, in 1977, she has chosen to lead a private life. Longet has kept a low public profile, avoiding extensive media attention and maintaining her privacy.
